Deposit Collections
Deposit Collections can:
- Expand you library's offerings of expensive formats;
- Allow your library to offer new and emerging formats;
- Broaden your library's collections in special genres
From the Library Commission's collections, specialist librarians will build deposit collections tailored to your library's needs. We will create a list of available titles and, working with you, refine the collection to meet your needs. We'll check the collection out to you library for an extended period of 90 to 120 days and ship them to you.
Currently we offer Deposit Collections in:
- Audiobooks - unabridged compact discs and cassettes
- Playaway audiobooks - small, self-contained audio equivalents of a book complete with earphones and batteries
- Graphic Novels
- Science Fiction
- Spanish Language
Your library will need to promote these collections to the community, keep circulation statistics, answer a brief survey and return the titles at the end of the loan period. Then, as often as you like, we can send new deposit collections.
