West Virginia Library Commission Announces Grant Recipients

Library Services and Technology Act grants to improve library services in West Virginia

Charleston, W.Va. - The West Virginia Library Commission (WVLC) is pleased to award Library Services and Technology Act grants to the following public libraries. All grants are funded subject to the return of the paperwork, attendance at a mandatory grants management workshop, and compliance with reporting requirements and modifications specified by WVLC.

These funds are made available through a grant provided by the Library Services and Technology Act administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the West Virginia Library Commission. The mission of the West Virginia Library Commission is to promote, assist and support the development of effective and efficient library services that ensure all citizens in the state access to the highest quality library services and information resources to meet their needs.

The Institute of Museum and Library Services is the primary source of federal support for the nation's 122,000 libraries and 17,500 museums. The Institute's mission is to create strong libraries and museums that connect people to information and ideas. The Institute works at the national level and in coordination with state and local organizations to sustain heritage, culture, and knowledge; enhance learning and innovation; and support professional development.
